Jose Miguel Carrión Llop has spent more than a decade in the online poker ecosystem. In 2013 he launched Habwin, one of the longest-running rakeback and poker room comparison platforms in the Spanish-speaking market. Since then, he has analysed, negotiated and published conditions for more than forty different rooms — including PokerStars, GGPoker, PartyPoker, Winamax, 888poker and the main regulated operators in Spain.

His work focuses on three areas: (1) translating the real conditions that operators offer affiliates into clear, no-hype information for players; (2) explaining the Spanish regulatory framework (Law 13/2011, Royal Decree 958/2020) in practical terms; and (3) covering the day-to-day of online poker — promotions, software changes, tournament news — from the regular player's perspective.

As an author, he has published more than 1,400 articles on Habwin covering rakeback, room comparisons, regulation, operator news and player guides, in both English and Spanish. After Habwin España ceased operations in 2026, he continues working as an independent affiliate, without a DGOJ licence, in compliance with the regulatory framework.
