Professional poker player and entrepreneur Doug Polk has sparked controversy by publicly questioning Elon Musk, after discovering that the billionaire allegedly lied about his gaming prowess in popular titles like Diablo IV and Path of Exile 2.

During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk claimed to be one of the world’s top players in these games, garnering admiration and skepticism. However, the truth emerged when Musk participated in a live stream: it became evident that he lacked basic gameplay knowledge, even though his character was perfectly equipped. The gaming community concluded that Musk had hired others to level up his account, confirming the suspicions.


Doug Polk’s Reaction


On social media, Polk voiced his disappointment: “I’ve always admired Elon and what he’s done for society, but lying about being a ‘top gamer’ hit me hard. As a gamer, pride and honesty are fundamental.”

For Polk, this seemingly trivial lie points to a larger concern: the possibility that Musk might also be dishonest in other areas of his personal and professional life. The gaming community, known for its passion and commitment, has rallied behind Polk, criticizing Musk’s lack of authenticity.
