From Tourist to Champion: Wins a WSOPC Ring in Morocco


The story of a Spanish tourist who traveled to Morocco for a holiday and ended up winning a World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) ring has captured the poker community’s attention.


    The Tournament:


      • Event: Mini Main Event of the WSOPC in Marrakech.
      • Buy-in: 15,000 dirhams (€1,400 approximately).
      • Prize won: 295,000 dirhams (€27,000) and a WSOPC ring.


      An Unexpected Feat:


      The player, who initially had no plans to participate, registered for fun and ended up defeating a final table full of seasoned players. “This shows that anything is possible in poker, even for a tourist with no expectations of winning,” the player said after receiving his prize.
