PokerStars to Exit Poland
PokerStars to Exit Poland on March
PokerStars to Cease Operations in Poland on March 27th, 2025
In a recent announcement, PokerStars confirmed its withdrawal from the Polish market, with the official closure date set for March 27th, 2025. The decision comes as part of a broader business strategy initiated by Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of PokerStars, aiming to strengthen its position in priority markets.
The exit is not related to any regulatory changes, but rather stems from an internal review to optimize global operations. This strategic realignment has already led to PokerStars exiting other countries such as Croatia, Peru, and the Czech Republic in the past year.
What does this mean for Polish players?
The platform has committed to ensuring a smooth exit:
Players will receive direct email communications.
Withdrawals, account closures, and ticket resolutions will be handled before the deadline.
Tournament tickets beyond the closure date will be refunded or managed accordingly.
PokerStars also addressed common concerns in a dedicated FAQ, clarifying that while Polish residents will no longer be able to play, they may still participate in PokerStars Live events abroad if residing in other jurisdictions.
While no plans for a return were mentioned, PokerStars thanked its loyal Polish user base for years of support and ensured all users will be guided through the transition process.
