Overwhelming victory of Luigi Shehadeh in 888live Barcelona
The italian dominated the final day winning all the stacks available and beating his opponents.
From 11th to 22th May 888Live Poker Festival Barcelona has filled of good poker and ambiance Catalan capital. Yesterday the Festival celebrated its last day with the Final Day of the €1,100 Main Event that easily surpassed the guaranteed with a prize pool €584,640 generated by a total of 609 entries.
Yesterday, after 2 full days of poker and 22 levels overtaken, 25 players gathered at Casino Barcelona to try to get for themselves the top prize of €115,000.
The American Cate Hall started as a chip leader, but this wouldn't last much, as stacks kept coming and going between players and there weren't many players really outstanding amongst the others.
Big names as William Kassouf survived to the final day, but couldn't make their way to the 9 seat Final Table.
One Final Table started, it had a very low paced the first two hours, where only two players were sent to the rails. After Cate Hall was out in fourth position, Italian Luigi Shehadeh was truly dominating and pecking everybody's stacks.
The Heads up was between Shehadeh and Spaniard player Carlos García, with an 8-1 lead for the Italian. Shortly after, a pocket 8's will turn Luigi Shehadeh into 888Live Barcelona champion. First victory on Spanish soil and most important victory on his career.
