Adrián Mateos hits the number 1 on GPI
The Spanish Adrián mateos reached today, at least, top position at Global Poker Index. The Spaniard hits top of the ranking after his victory at the Millions Finale of the Partypoker Caribbean Poker Party, very close of the American Bryn Kenney.
The GPI is the most valued ranking within poker and ranks international poker players according their performance in qualifying tournaments and the ITM positions they finished at.
Adrian Mateos achieved his first seven-digit at the WSOP of Paris when he was only 19 years old, and since the very beginning of his career showed up what a young promise of poker he was. He is scored almost 5 millions dollars in live earnings, only during 2017,and a total amount of $11,357,162 during this whole career.
But Adrián also plays on the .com and so he did last May when he won his first SCOOP, a victory worth $234k at Pokerstars.com.
The Spaniard leads American Brenney in 167,62 points. How many weeks will Adrian stay on top of the GPI? Honestly, we hope he will improve Jason Mercier record, 63 weeks at top position. We'll see. What ever it lasts, this is already HUGE. Congratulations!!!
