Chaos at WSOP Circuit: Player Flips Tables, Halting the Main Event


The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP Circuit) at Harrah’s Cherokee witnessed an unexpected turn of events last Sunday as an unidentified man caused a major disturbance. In a fit of rage, he flipped three poker tables, scattering chips and leaving players in shock​​.


A Shocking Incident

The disruption occurred on Day 2 of the Main Event, a $1,700 buy-in tournament with 65 remaining players. A video captured by WPT Executive Tournament Director Matt Savage shows the man aggressively flipping tables before being stopped by security​.

Tournament staff acted swiftly to contain the situation, halting the event momentarily to review security footage and reconstruct chip stacks. Eyewitnesses reported that the man shouted incoherent statements, adding mystery to the motives behind his actions​.
