From low to high levels, the rake structure seems fair. Short Deck games have a regular structure with caps at all stakes. In tournaments the commission is 10%.

Although the site was recently launched, our scouts have identified great traffic in both free tables and MTTs.

Points to highlight:

Regarding the MTT grid, the most expensive tournaments have a buy-in of 1,100 CNY ($172), and we have seen over 1,000 players in ¥330 (¥218k GTD) events.

Account Verification (KYC)

Software Review

WPT Global uses its own software developed for the project. Although this can undoubtedly be excellent in the medium/long term, for now the platform is not excessively friendly and has some details that need to be polished.

The games are in Chinese currency (¥ symbol). You can change the currency in the lobby, but at the tables they will still be Renmimbis.

On the other hand, WPT Global launched clients for all operating systems at the same time:

Mobile app

The mobile application is available on both platforms (iOS and Android) and has a vertical presentation very similar to other mobile apps present in the Asian market.

Multi-tabling was recently enabled for the mobile client, allowing the user to join up to 3 tables of any combination of games (NLH, PLO, MTT)

Reliability

WPT Global operates under a license from Curacao and although it focuses on a market as confusing as the Chinese one, the project has the support of one of the most respected companies in the poker industry: World Poker Tour.

We believe that any player who follows the rules (no bots, no VPN, no cheating, no "overexploiting" the tables) will have no problem at WPT Global.

What languages are supported on WPT Global?

Languages supported are English, Spanish and Portuguese (with Russian available shortly).

Is WPT Global licensed and are games fair?

WPT Global is licenced in Curaçao by Gaming Services Provider N.V. and its RNG (random number generator) is independently certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).

Can I play in the US?

WPT Global is not currently available for US players.

How do I install the app?

In case you have a Windows, the minimum system requirements to install the application is that the operating system is Windows 7 and have at least 500 MB of disk space and 3 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended). The steps to follow are: press the button to start the download and, once it has downloaded to your computer, open the file (check your "Download" folder) to start the installer. The next thing you will need to do is follow the installer's instructions until the installation is complete. In case you have a Mac, the minimum requirements are that the system is macOS 10.14 and have a minimum of 500 MB of disk space and 3 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended) The steps to follow to install the application, as in the case of Windows, is to start the download from the button and open the file (checking the "Downloads" folder). The next thing to do is to drag the WPT Global icon to your Applications folder, open that folder and run the WPT Global application to start playing. If you have an Android, the minimum system requirements are an Android 8.0 operating system, at least 500 MB of disk space and 3 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended). The steps to follow will be to press the button to start the download and when you are asked "Download file?", choose "Download". Next, open the .apk file and when asked "Do you want to install this application?", choose "Install". Once the installation is complete, choose "Open" to launch WPT Global. Next you will need to hit "Allow WPT Global to access this device's location" and choose "Allow only while using the app". If what you have is an iPhone the minimum system requirements are an iOS 10 operating system, 500 MB of disk space minimum and 3 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended). You will need to hit "Free Install" to download and tap on "Allow". Under "Profiles & Device Management", tap the downloaded profile "WPT Global", click "Install" to install the profile, choose "Trust" and click "Install" to install the WPT Global app.

What documents do I need to verify my account?

WPT Global reserves the right to request documents to verify the identity of players and prevent problem activity or fraud. The types of documents required are: - proof of identity (ID card, passport, or driver’s license) - proof of address (utility bills or bank statements not more than three months old) - proof of deposit (cards or e-wallet) You must provide clear, photos or screenshots (in color) of these documents. Are there play money tables on WPT Global?

There is not currently a play money option on WPT Global.

Can I use tracking software or a HUD?

No, WPT Global does not allow the use of third party software.

What forms of payment are accepted?
